Transferring RTOs

There is no fee for transferring to NARA.

NB: There are some differences in the fee arrangement for Queensland RTOs - refer to:

Queensland  Fees - RTOs transferring to NARA

An annual fee will be payable to NARA twelve months after the date of an RTO’s transfer and annually after the date of transfer.

NARA will invoice RTOs prior to their annual fees being due.

NARA will invoice RTOs for the amounts payable.

Payment of Fees

Please note that payment of annual fee is required for ongoing registration.

PLEASE NOTE: RTOs will be charged a $50 trace fee per event if the NARA EFT reference number is not identified when making payment.

Queensland RTO Fees

For Queensland RTOs transferring to NARA: Please note that contrary to earlier advice provided by NARA about the date of payment for annual fees, the annual fees of all Queensland RTOs will continue to be due on 1 July each year.

This is because NARA will manage the registration of Queensland RTOs which transfer to it, under delegation from the Training and Employment Recognition Council. The delegation is made possible as a result of the powers of the Council as detailed in the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 (Qld).

This means that Queensland RTOs transferring to NARA, and NARA itself, are bound by the Act and its associated regulation, the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Regulation 2000 (Qld).

For more detailed information about the fee requirements for Queensland RTOs refer to:
