Ms Claire Field
General Manager NARA
Claire Field was the Project Director responsible for the establishment of NARA. Claire has extensive experience in the VET sector having worked in a range of policy, planning and performance review roles both at Commonwealth and State Government levels.
Claire’s most recent roles include a secondment to the Australian Government to assist with a report from VET Ministers to COAG on areas for further VET reform, as well as responsibility for planning and policy co-ordination across NSW.
Prior to those appointments Claire’s work included support for the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB). She has had senior management experience in Mission Australia and commenced work in the VET sector in the Australian National Training Authority.

Ms Julie Northridge PSM
Senior Client Relationship Manager
Julie is the NARA Senior Client Relationship Manager with responsibility for the audit and registration of private RTOs. Julie has been with NARA since October 2007 and was previously responsible for NARA’s communications and Quality Management System.
Julie has sixteen years experience in the VET sector and has previously worked as a teacher. Julie brings to her role a breadth of experience in policy, curriculum, educational planning, quality assurance, communications and project management. Prior to joining NARA, Julie worked in senior management roles in TAFE Queensland and TAFE NSW.
Julie was awarded a Public Sector Medal (PSM) in the 2006 Australia Day Honours for her achievements.

Mr Simon Hitchick
Senior Client Relationship Manager (Enterprise RTOs and CRICOS)
Simon Hitchick is the NARA Senior Client Relationship Manager for enterprise and CRICOS RTOs. Simon is also responsible for leadership of the NARA auditor moderation program and Good Practice Workshops.
Simon has wide experience in vocational education and training from the development and delivery of VET programs to the management of staff and supporting program activities.
His experience includes working in large RTOs with responsibility for commercial training operations and the management of large numbers of staff. He has supporting experience and qualifications in auditing, AQTF implementation, risk management and database management.
